1) Car needs to be on a drive on lift or on level hard surface.
2) If air suspension is in working order, set access mode to deflate air springs.
Deactivate system:
1) Remove air suspension inline fuse.
2) Remove 30 amp compressor fuse,
3) Find white/green wire to air suspension delay relay. White/green wire goes from terminal 86 on delay relay to air suspension control unit under right hand seat at the front of the seat. Follow white/green wire until it splices off , cut is wire, it goes to the control buttons lights. Tape both ends of the wire.
4) System is now deactivated.
Warning! Air suspension system is pressurized to 145 PSI!
Wear safety goggles, ear and hand protection!
5) After system has been deactivated drain air tank under left side of car by loosening drain plug 2
Turns only. When system is depressurized then tighten plug.
6) Support car by frame so that the wheels are off the ground or lift. Remove all wheels.
7) Under right side of car on the frame is the compressor/valve block housing, remove the cover using a 5\16 inch socket. This will allow access to the valve block.
8) WEAR EYE, HEARING AND HAND PROTECTION! Begin at the right rear wheel (passenger side). Slowly remove line at port#2 on valve block. ( see information on line removal). CAUTION: DO NOT PUT ANY PART OF YOUR BODY UNDER CAR! When line is depressurized reinstall line to valve block port#2.
9) Remove clips at top and bottom of air spring, as you remove air spring, disconnect air line from top of air spring. Plug line with 1\4 inch rubber plug and tie out of the way using 6 plastic tie.
10) Place spring seat, part # NRC9700, on axle. Install rear spring marked P/S, align holes in spring seat and axle. Place 2-10 mm flat washers over each hole, use a small punch to align washers and holes. Place spring retainer, part # NTC6106, through spring and install 10mm bolts with flat washers and nuts. DO NOT TIGHTEN YET!
11) Turn spring so retainer is touching spring coil on both sides, then tighten bolts.
12) Slowly raise axle, watch top of spring to make sure it seats in frame. Reinstall new shock.
13) Same procedure from left rear except remove air line at port #1 on valve block.
14) FRONT LEFT AIR SPRING, SEE WARNING ABOVE! Remove line at port #3 on valve block. When line is depressurized reinstall line.
15) Remove plastic cover, remove air line at top of air spring. Plug line with 1\4 rubber plug and tie line out of the way using 6 plastic tie.
16) Remove clips at the top of air spring and remove air spring. Remove the heat shield on top of spring mount, be sure that plastic fastener is removed or spring will not seat properly.
17) Remove 2-10mm nuts that hold brake line bracket to the wheel well and loosen bracket from wheel well.
18) Remove shock and let axle down SLOWLY. Place spring seat, part #NRC9700, on the axle. Install spring marked D/S on seat and align in seat and axle. Place 2-10mm washers on each hole and install spring retainer. Install 2-10mm bolts with flat washers and nuts. DO NOT TIGHTEN YET!
19) Turn spring so that the retainer is touching spring coils on both sides, tighten bolts.
20) Slowly raise axle, make sure that the spring seats in frame at the top, install new shock.
21) Place brake line bracket on studs and replace nuts. Reinstall plastic cover.
22) FRONT RIGHT AIR SPRING, SEE WARNING ABOVE.
23) Remove air line at port #4 on valve block. When line is depressurized reinstall line.
24) See Left Front air spring removal.
25) After all air springs have been replaced reinstall cover to valve block.
26) Check all bolts for tightness.
27) Reinstall all wheels.
28) Car will sit approximately 1 _ over standard height.
29) IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE CAR IS ROAD TESTED FOR SUSPENSION NOISES!!
